Fun Package

I received a very cool package today from one of my sales reps.  It was a huge box and inside was a basket with wine and some kick ass wine glasses..also a box of Sees Candies.  However the coolest part was that the box was packed with cool color Precor t-shirts..ones I have never seen before so he must have had them made up.  There were 41 shirts in all different colors and sizes.  Lindsey picked out several for herself and her boyfriend took one, I passed out about six at work and then I put Aysha and Rachel is small orange ones that looked like dresses on them but so cute.

Tonight we had a blast at Miss Lisa's house for a party and singing.  Rachel went running through their backyard with their dog and the snow came up to her top thigh..it was funny. It was so slippery going out to their house and the van was good but it was a really scary drive and we slid a lot.  I got a GPS from my boss for Christmas and that thing is awesome..took us right to her house and the best thing is if you go the wrong way it just recalculates so you can't get lost.  I need to change the voice to a hot Australian man's voice.

Yogi got snipped today as well as toes clipped, cast changed and a microchip since the little thing runs like mad and we don't want to lose him.  The cast was to be on 8 weeks for complete healing but the x-ray today show he is healed after four weeks...we have taken good care of him.  The vet says she is putting the new splint on for two  more weeks just for safety.  He is going to come home tomorrow with his leg still wrapped and a cone on his head so he won't lick his stitches..poor thing.  Little does he know but that was his Christmas present as it cost a small fortune.  Wouldn't you want your balls cut off for Christmas????

We have so much snow and ice it is nuts. I have lived here since 1997 and have never seen it like this. People have been sitting in the airport since Friday trying to get home for Christmas. So many flights are cancelled and apparently the runway de-icer is on a truck coming on I-90 over the pass. The pass is closed because of the snow. Precor is shut down today and well as many other businesses. I have tons to do and start vacation Wednesday afternoon. My dog is sinking in the snow because he is so small and the drifts against our doors look like someone was trying to trap us in our house. It is nice to be in my pajamas though.

Snow

Working from home today due to the weather. The problem is all the ice under the snow that came down last night and has continued this morning. Don't want to take a chance so I will work in my PJ's today.

I"m having dreams about leasing applications and customers and reps freaking out because everything has to be shipping by this Friday. Tiffani can you call my customer to discuss their financial options, Tiffani can you get me a lease PO right away, Tiffani the lawyers need info for repos, Tiffani what is the status of my deal etc etc times 25 sales reps. My head is spinning in circles and if I have to have dreams about work than I think some hot male dancer hanging around my desk while I'm under pressure would be a great idea.

I love Barry Manilow

Yes I love him and he is one of the best entertainers I have ever seen. Those of you that may be laughing right now can shut the hell up. What is better than Barry coming to Seattle...why it is Barry coming to the Comcast Arena which happens to be about five or ten minutes from my house. This will be my sixth Barry concert. My mom and I have decided to drink CC & eggnog on Christmas...I told her we should get drunk and it wouldn't take much. I'm getting so excited about seeing my brother and mom. Love to hear Ryan's sick and perverted version of "Rawhide", his sick jokes and his humor.

My Weekend

Wednesday evening in the animal emergency hospital until 1:30am as Yogi now has a broken leg and we have to keep him in the kennel all the time except to let him pee and we have to cover his cast...oh and we have to inject pain meds down his throat

Thursday: Got up at six to give meds to dog and starting making pies. Cooked all morning and took our meal in the car to the fellowship in Everett and shared our meal with others who didn't have a dinner. Went to the 24 hour Starbucks late at night and listened to music etc.

Friday: Cardio workout at 9:00, training with Jacob at 9:45, shower, protein shake and massage at 11:15. Boy was I feeling good after that. Sang and recorded for a while and then we took Rachel to see Bolt..loved the movie. Later caught Lindsey and her friends trying to sneek into our house while we were out because she thought we were also going out to dinner.

Saturday: Slept in and spent the day cleaning and putting up Christmas decorations. Mike to the emergency room because his sugar was too high. Did our bills

Sunday: Couldn't sleep Saturday night and finally went down around 4am so slept until 11:30. Did laundry, sang, did long cardio workout and made lunches.

I'm so pissed at my dog

Every morning I get Rachel out of bed and put her in bed with Mike until it is time to get up for school. This morning when I layed her down I looked at her and half her head was soaked and half her clothes. She said, "maybe I was drooling mommy". NO...the shithead dog pissed all over my daughter.

My jaw hurts badly. Several weeks ago when we were moving stuff, a very heavy TV smashed right down on my jaw. In the past several days the pain has returned and it is hard to chew. This really bites....ha ha ha

Yesterday we got everything for Thanksgiving dinner. The kids asked me for pumpkin pie a few weeks ago so I decided to make a couple. I always buy pumpkin pies from Costco but this time I went the homemade route and had no idea how they would taste. They were awesome I must say and tons better than Costco...my family finished both pies off in about 36 hours. I don't think we are having any guests on Thanksgiving but anyone is welcome to come over.

Finally...

We moved into our house seven years ago and we bought Mike's sister dining room set and hutch. They were already twenty five years old when we bought them. The whole thing was falling apart and every time I went to put a leaf in the table one of the legs always started coming off. Also, the chairs were constantly breaking and having to be fixed and the chair fabric was so stained from food and ripped so badly. So, here is my new dining room set and instead of a stupid hutch I got a buffet that I can store my china under and use to set the food on when I have company and am serving a big dinner. You can see white around the drawer on the left but there is actually nothing white on it. I'm pretty sure it is my household ghost that has been with me since 1989

Dreaming is fun

You know I don't play the lottery that often but I day dream about what I would do with the money if I did win. It's fun to dream of all the things I would do to my house, be debt free, buy some property for investments and of course share with my friends, family and charities. However, the reality is that I am among the many many people who have their share of debt that stares them in the face and says, HA HA...my interest is taking all your money. I am hopeful that by the time the kids need money for college that our investments have grown back to where they started and some. Until then I will enjoy all that I have as I feel blessed to have a job, good friends and a healthy family.

Pondering

There are days when I wished I was living back in Arkansas in the middle of the woods , sitting on my porch surrounded by animals, not fighting traffic. I could teach Rachel to fish, build forts in the woods, catch lighting bugs and pull the tails off of lizards. This would be based on no brown recluse spiders of course

Well the girls had so much fun going to see HSM on their own last night. We dropped them at the door (Mike walked them to the door) and sent them off with tickets and money for snacks. They said the set was great and the whole show was really fun.

I was so excited to get up this morning and watch the news. I can't wait for history to be made today as we elect Barack Obama as our next President. He will have a lot to clean up after Mr. Dipshit, I can't give a speech Bush is out of there.

Clean Clean Clean

I had so much fun last night having that dumpster. We cleared out all the crap from the garage remodel and our entire side yard was full of shit that is now gone. I loved that I could throw away anything so I did. I went through every single closet and cabinet tossing everything I could. I just kept walking out to the driveway and making as much noise as I possibly could. My house looks so different because I threw so much away...I love it. Tonight I am going to do more before they take it away tomorrow. I was going to share the dumpster with my neighbors around me but screw them...I need all the space for myself.

Well since the doctor told me that I need to eat more protein Mike seems to think I need to eat steak. I don't eat much red meat at all but last night I had a 1/2 steak and it was so good...best part was that I didn't get a stomach ache from eating it.

Dumpster arrives in the driveway this morning so I am going to enjoy tonight. All my aggression is going out on the furniture that I am going to chop up with a hammer before I throw it away. Listening to the stuff crash down on the metal will be a joy. I want a new dining room set. I am just going to break apart the chairs and stuff so there will not be a choice about getting a table.

I have Friday off so tomorrow is my Friday..woo hoo:)

We worked non stop all weekend on the garage project. My living room, office etc are all filled with stuff which drives me nuts but we should have everything put back together and the extra room finished by mid week. Next weekend we can enjoy the space and relax a bit..I'm tired out.

Weekend Plans

Wiring, insulating, sheet rocking, painting and organizing the garage. The workers will be at the house today and tomorrow and we are doing the rest. We have already made one trip to the dump and we will surely have several more. I am also getting rid of old toys, clothes etc and kinda doing a Spring cleaning in the Fall.

Went back to the doctor yesterday for all of my blood test results from my recent physical. All good except that I am low on protein. I eat tons of protein but I guess my body is using it up too fast so now my doc would like me to drink protein shakes. Do you think she would mind if I put ice cream and chocolate syrup in them.

Right now I am staring at a huge pile of work on my desk. It is nuts and super busy...guess I'd better get to it.

Guess Who

Guess who pierced their damn lip with a big needle at school yesterday. My conversation three weeks ago.
me: you are not allowed to get your lip pierced as your father and I won't allow it.
Lindsey: I don't care what you and dad say because someday I am just going to do it myself.

HMMMM...and yesterday it was an accident as she just had the needle by her lip to show her friend how to do it and someone came along and pushed her hand. It's amazing to me that the needle went through the thickness of her lip just like that...it's a miracle.

I hope the pus starts to form and the swelling takes over. In the meantime I now have an extra cel phone.

Pink Ribbons

I am sure everyone has seen pink around as this is breast cancer awareness month. I had my exam last week and no lumps so I was very thankful for that. However, I was very afraid to go because I have waited several years in between exams. I was too busy taking care of everyone else and not myself. I have promised myself that my exams will be yearly again with no exceptions. I just ate a yogurt and I am saving my pink lid.

Ah..this morning is the oh so exciting yearly physical. The nurse better not try and weigh me or her arm will be broken...I do measurements only and I like it that way. I can't eat right now and I'm just drinking water. Do they not understand that I am up very early in the morning and 10:00 is way to late for me to have coffee and breakfast so my head will be screaming by the time I am finished.
This afternoon I have to get all the rest of the party decorations, plates etc etc. I think there will be 25 people over tomorrow for the party so I really hope it is nice outside.

Why Americans are so stupid that they ever elected George Bush to run this country is beyond me. When he leaves the office he is probably going to have to obtain triple security for the rest of his life. The man can't even give a speech!!!!

I'm very frustrated as I have always felt a sense of safety knowing that I have the college fund for both the kids, my invest fund and my 401K. Now I am feeling scared about my money especially in the current sitution I am in. The economy is going in the tank and I need to cut costs in my budget asap.

Rachel is getting so excited for her birthday. I'm excited too as I took the day off so I can take her to school on time with her cupcakes instead of dropping the poor kid off at 5:30am. I have the morning planned with stuff to do for myself and then our family is going bowling. Maybe I could bowl over 90...probably not going to happen but it will be fun anyway.

So tonight Rachel, Aysha and Lindsey were sitting at the table eating dinner while I was cleaning up in the kitchen. One of them let out a burp which started the laughter and then they all started to burp. I hear, "mine is the loudest". I'm sorry but they aren't allowed to say something like that in front of me. I downed a few huge gulps from my water bottle and showed them what a real burp is. There is no comparison to theirs and mine...some old talents just never go away.

I don't know if I would want to be a vampire because drinking blood all the time doesn't really appeal to me. I would be craving Starbucks , chocolate and fries.

Back to school soon

Where did the summer go? I think this summer has flown by faster than any other in a very long time. My kids start back on Sept 3rd and they are both ready to go. Lindsey will be in the 9th grade and I'm crossing my fingers that this will be her year to excel..I'll take C's but she is an A/B student with F's...not okay. Rachel will do Kindergarten again with advanced reading and math. Friday morning we leave for Reno and will be back Monday night. Maybe I will win millions on the slot machines...you never know.

Woo Hoo it's Friday

It's been a long and tiresome week. I had my ass kicked so bad in training on Wed. that it was difficult to walk yesterday but I love the pain because I know it is working. Mike and I are leaving for Canada tomorrow morning and just spending one night. We will have the whole day to play, shop, explore and eat good food. We usually go to Granville Island after we check out of our hotel and will probably do that again this year. That place is awesome-here is an pretty picture of Vancouver.

I have 150 or so more pages in my book..I can hardly stand it but I do have to sleep at night. The past two mornings I have woken up having dreamt about vampires and werewolves. When I was pushing snooze I had convinced myself I could keep sleeping because it was okay with the vampires.

On the road..

We are going to Reno on Aug. 22nd and coming back Monday morning the 25th. It will be a quick trip but a road trip for the kids so they will enjoy it. We are going down to visit Mike's son. Our room is booked at Circus Circus so there will be kid friendly entertainment while mom has some adult entertainment in front of a slot machine with free cocktails.

Movies and Vampires...what more could a girl want

Summer Friday's are great since Precor lets us work summer hours..it really is a nice thing for them to do and then everyone has more time to enjoy the beautiful Seattle summers. For all the rain we get, the summers here are beautiful and I wouldn't choose to be anywhere else. Well maybe in a tropical island with a butler, maid, cute massage therapist and a Starbucks tap.
Anyway, today will be fun. After my counseling appt. Lindsey and I are going to see Mama Mia in Monroe and will probably eat nachos and feel sick. I guess I should take a nap too just because I can. My little Boo will be playing and having fun at Denise's house. We have to shop at Target and then we will be hitting the bookstore around 10:30. There is a party that starts at 9:30 over at Borders which is close so we will go there. I am hoping to see lots of people dressed up and having a blast. At 12:01 I can indulge myself in the sexy oh so hot Edward Cullen for the wee hours of the morning. Saturday I will workout, have breakfast with Mike and Joe, drop Lindsey at Mary's and enjoy some peace and quiet with my vampire friends. Mike and I will be going on a date night as well. Looking forward to a fun weekend.

Kitchen issues

I have not been cooking much lately. I think the kids are really sick of mac n cheese, soup, turkey sanchwiches, etc. My goal in the next few weeks is to spend some extra time and prepare good healthy meals for dinner. Life has been a little crazy so we have gotten off track. For me I have either been eating a quick snack for dinner or using my go to meals of cereal or soy sausage and egg whites.

My Day

I have offically gotten my five year old wanting to go out to eat at Thai restaurants. She loves it and Lindsey does to. It's much healthier than going to a Chinese restaurant, nothing is fried and no MSG. This afternoon the girls and I did a little shopping and tried out a new Thai place which was great. Then we all painted our nails, put on pj's, washed our faces and Lindsey and I coated ourselves with self tanner. Now we are going to watch a movie.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend..today it is going to be nice in Seattle so we can enjoy it.

Shopping without children

This is something I never get to do but I did last night. It was wonderful, peaceful, I could pee when I wanted to, take as much time in the dressing room, walk at my own pace, wasn't looking behind me or beside me all the time. It won't happen very often but it sure was fun.

Our car

Well Mike swerved to not hit a dog last week and smacked into a telephone pole. Us southerners do not swerve for animals. I have hit every animal lurking in the Ozark mountains from the smell of skunk lingering on my tires for days to large wads of deer fur imbedded into the front of my old Datsun.


Anyway, spent last night looking at used cars and contacting private parties etc since the Avalon was totaled. We decided on this 2003 Civic. It is just fine and as long as I feel safe and get good gas mileage I don't really care what I drive. 35 to 40 mpg is way different that the van.
