Relief

Got a call yesterday that my biopsy from the skin removed on my back was all clear. Spray tans or lotions for me from now on. The days of tanning are over and regretful. USE SUNSCREEN!!

Garage Evenings are back

Yesterday was hot but it really cooled down at night and felt great. We are back to the time of year when we open up our garage door at night and sit on the couches enjoying the nice evenings. Mike usually plays the guitar which is what he did last night along with Lindsey. The scene in our garage was this...I was sitting on the chair with Rachel on my lap (otter pop in hand and ice pack on her head for her headache), Lindsey playing the guitar with her dad and the two of them doing pushups. Later Mike and I played the 80's version of Trivial Pursuit and of course Mike kicked my ass like he always does. The history questions take me down and I always answer all sports question with Daryl Strawberry unless I really know the answer. Up way too late as usual.
My friend Mary had a health scare yesterday but is doing great!

Enjoying our hard work

Mike and I worked in our yard for hours yesterday and it looks beautiful. We spent lots of time weeding, digging out dandelion roots, mowing, weed eating etc. Then we went and got new plants and bark. We dug out the old dead plants on the side on the yard and replaced them with roses and some other small colorful flowers. We dug out the area by the porch and used cemet blocks to make a pretty area where we planted more roses etc. We covered all the area with new bark and it looks awesome. We went outside and stared at it many times last night. We were filthy when this job was done...never so happy to take a shower. Will take a picture of it today and post tonight. Rachel was a huge help and she got in there right with us..she had her pink watering can going behind us. She was also distracted by the neighbor friend and her swimming pool which they ended up in.

Sensory Overload

It is 2:45 in the morning and Mike is still playing the guitar...he won't stop. I am calling the police soon:)

Weekend Starts Soon

So it is 5:30 in the morning and I get off work at 9-Woo Hoo!!! I promised Rachel I would come home this morning and take her to the park. That little girl loves going to the park and it gives me such joy watching her smile and run free. She loves the swings and mommy can't push her on the swings today because I have stitches in my back and need to be very careful per the doctor's orders. This week we have been working hard on getting Rachel to sleep all night in her own bed as she always seems to wander into our bed in the middle of the night . Mike and I both get kicked in the face, slapped and pushed to the side-that child moves around like mad. So, we gave her an incentive to see whatever movie she wanted this weekend if she made it through the week in her own bed and she has. So, it might be Strawberry Shortcake for me this weekend. Plans for the next three days are to have fun, rest, plant flowers and drink coffee.

What to do now??

Okay American Idol is over , desperate housewives is done for the season so I guess I will just be watching reruns of cooking shows...maybe it will inspire me. I am waiting very impatiently to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm planning my sleep time after I get the book because I think every possible waking second will be spent reading. I think I will read the 5th book for the fourth time as that movie will be coming out soon as well.
Sleep is the key word today...need lots of it . It's almost Friday...hooray!!!

Such a drag

Today I am dragging around due to PMS but I did manage to make it to the gym. I only did 15 minutes of weights and 15 minutes in the sauna but it is better than nothing I guess. OH and I did take a 20 minute walk this morning.

Right now my friend Kristina's dad is having open heart surgery so please say prayers for he and their family that everything goes well. I also found out today that my grandfather is in the hospital but I don't know much yet.

Tomorrow is Lindsey's birthday and we are having friends over for an American Idol BBQ so we can celebrate and of course I am cheering for Blake as he is our local talent.

Mike and Joe are playing at a wedding this weekend and I'm excited for the long weekend as well. I started my summer hours and am off at 9am on Friday's so it's like a four day break for me.

Better take my shower and figure out what I am going to feed the buttsniffers.
