Auntie Barb had a layover in Seattle so we got to spend the morning with her

Sweet Story

My mom and I were talking yesterday and apparently my Aunt Barb (mom's sister) called her on Monday to tell her what had happened on Mother's Day. My aunt is a flight attendent for American Airlines and was flying on Mother's Day. I guess due to plane troubles or something she ended up flying to San Francisco which was not where she was supposed to go that day. So, when they arrived there were all kinds of delays etc. My Grandma Johnson (who passed years ago) is from San Francisco and that is where she met my grandpa. So while Barb was sitting there she thought.."Happy Mother's Day mom..I'm in your city". When the plane finally boarded Barb was asked to check on one of the passengers as they thought someone boarded the plane without a boarding pass. She indicated to my mother that in ten years of flying this was only the second time she had be asked to check out something like this. When they handed her the name of the passenger to check. the boarding pass read..Mary Johnson. Mary Johnson was my grandmother's name.

American Idol

Cook sits in the number one spot with DialIdol. I think the Castro fans are voting for him now. Syesha will go home tonight and the David's will duke it out next week. I have no doubt who will win. All the comments I read today are raving about DC..people love him.

Misc.

Had another six month checkup with dermatologist. Had one spot removed and it was benign . Now I am on the yearly schedule unless something strange appears.

It will be 84 in Seattle on Friday...woo hoo

My purse is a mess

I have been putting raw foods back into my diet and now am able to eat broccoli , salads etc. Yesterday I tried something I love but NO WAY ..NEVER AGAIN. I had trial mix with dried fruit, seeds & nuts. I cannot disgest it..what a bunch of crap

My sob story

Our neighborhood has been hit in the last month with vandalism and my neighbor even had her car stolen(found 35 miles away abandon). Fourteen cars have had windows busted and Mike's car has been ransacked many times. I forgot to lock mine about a month ago...one freaking time and of course they went through mine. Kids looking for quick shit to pawn. Anyway, my lovely friends in Missouri and Arkansas have made me CD's that I loved....the bastards took them all.

Drops out of school at 17 and now he tells people they suck and makes millions-why didn't I think of doing that.

Long Week

This week is dragging and I'm tired. What makes me think I can sleep 3 to 4 hours a night and function properly. I have to make changes NOW...this is not good. Lindsey's counselor suggested that I have my own room...I love that idea!!!
Tomorrow is only a half day at work and then I spend the next couple of hours being sung to and fed lunch by my daughter and her class for Mother's Day.

What to do when you can't sleep

Last night Mike and I were laying in bed and couldn't sleep. So, I initiated a trivia game in which we had to name bands that were animals/insects/reptiles etc. Ex: Def Leopard, Scorpions, Eagles. Well that list grew very long so we decided to try parts of the body and here are just a few of the ones we came up with. We were total dorks but got a lot of laughs.
