What a gap

It is very gloomy and rainy this morning here in Seattle. That means the Olympic Penisula is covered in moss, fog and seriously sexy vampires waiting for me and my friends.

Name brand or Generic

I can be a thrifty girl on many things..(but never as good as Sondra) however there are several things that I just cannot buy generic..call me a snob but it is what it is. Here are a few of them.

Candles..have to buy Partylite as I love the smells and the way they burn
Tampons
Cheese..can't stand that generic oily shit
Laundry Detergent
Ground Beef...has to be seven percent or less..I gag on the other stuff
Dishwashing Soap..liquid Dawn only
Hairspray..the bottle I buy is $14 but it is the only spray that holds my hair all day and my hair is very fine
Toilet paper..enough said
Yogurt..I eat a lot of this..Yoplait fat free

What is really in that snowcone Kris?

Happy Birthday to you..can't wait until you come to visit

I walked out of the house today and wasn't expecting the snow on the ground. It wasn't a lot but enough to annoy me that I had to wait for my window to clear which was going to make me late for work. However, that annoyance all went away as I was driving down Highway 9. The moon was shining enough to see the tall evergreen trees covered in snow and it looked like something out of a fairy tale. I felt peaceful.
Now I'm at work so I'd better step out of my fantasy world

Where we are hoping to be with the kids in September

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Mike is currently wiring the studio so his band can start practing with headphones...I am so happy. Not that they aren't good but the neighbors and myself need to be able to freaking think. The band has now played at several places in the Seattle area and they are continuing to book. I'm good with the cash in my hands when he arrives home at 3am.

Tonight we are going to a introductory Girl Scout meeting. They are the next four Tuesday evenings for an hour and a half. Basically it is to see if the Girl Scouts is something your child is interested in. For the next month they will learn all about the Scouts, do crafts and activities and they can earn a badge. We didn't have Girl Scouts in Eureka but I was a Pioneer Girl. I remember spending the night at our leader's house...Ruth and Erika . They made us drink goats milk and I remember how grossed out I was.

Another Deep Thought by Jack Handy

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.
