Rachel is getting so excited for her birthday. I'm excited too as I took the day off so I can take her to school on time with her cupcakes instead of dropping the poor kid off at 5:30am. I have the morning planned with stuff to do for myself and then our family is going bowling. Maybe I could bowl over 90...probably not going to happen but it will be fun anyway.

Today I feel peaceful and I haven't felt that way in a long time.

So tonight Rachel, Aysha and Lindsey were sitting at the table eating dinner while I was cleaning up in the kitchen. One of them let out a burp which started the laughter and then they all started to burp. I hear, "mine is the loudest". I'm sorry but they aren't allowed to say something like that in front of me. I downed a few huge gulps from my water bottle and showed them what a real burp is. There is no comparison to theirs and mine...some old talents just never go away.

I don't know if I would want to be a vampire because drinking blood all the time doesn't really appeal to me. I would be craving Starbucks , chocolate and fries.

Where did the summer go? I think this summer has flown by faster than any other in a very long time. My kids start back on Sept 3rd and they are both ready to go. Lindsey will be in the 9th grade and I'm crossing my fingers that this will be her year to excel..I'll take C's but she is an A/B student with F's...not okay. Rachel will do Kindergarten again with advanced reading and math. Friday morning we leave for Reno and will be back Monday night. Maybe I will win millions on the slot machines...you never know.

Woo Hoo it's Friday

It's been a long and tiresome week. I had my ass kicked so bad in training on Wed. that it was difficult to walk yesterday but I love the pain because I know it is working. Mike and I are leaving for Canada tomorrow morning and just spending one night. We will have the whole day to play, shop, explore and eat good food. We usually go to Granville Island after we check out of our hotel and will probably do that again this year. That place is awesome-here is an pretty picture of Vancouver.

I have 150 or so more pages in my book..I can hardly stand it but I do have to sleep at night. The past two mornings I have woken up having dreamt about vampires and werewolves. When I was pushing snooze I had convinced myself I could keep sleeping because it was okay with the vampires.

On the road..

We are going to Reno on Aug. 22nd and coming back Monday morning the 25th. It will be a quick trip but a road trip for the kids so they will enjoy it. We are going down to visit Mike's son. Our room is booked at Circus Circus so there will be kid friendly entertainment while mom has some adult entertainment in front of a slot machine with free cocktails.

Movies and Vampires...what more could a girl want

Summer Friday's are great since Precor lets us work summer hours..it really is a nice thing for them to do and then everyone has more time to enjoy the beautiful Seattle summers. For all the rain we get, the summers here are beautiful and I wouldn't choose to be anywhere else. Well maybe in a tropical island with a butler, maid, cute massage therapist and a Starbucks tap.
Anyway, today will be fun. After my counseling appt. Lindsey and I are going to see Mama Mia in Monroe and will probably eat nachos and feel sick. I guess I should take a nap too just because I can. My little Boo will be playing and having fun at Denise's house. We have to shop at Target and then we will be hitting the bookstore around 10:30. There is a party that starts at 9:30 over at Borders which is close so we will go there. I am hoping to see lots of people dressed up and having a blast. At 12:01 I can indulge myself in the sexy oh so hot Edward Cullen for the wee hours of the morning. Saturday I will workout, have breakfast with Mike and Joe, drop Lindsey at Mary's and enjoy some peace and quiet with my vampire friends. Mike and I will be going on a date night as well. Looking forward to a fun weekend.
